The UDABC heard the same old argument this fall; that Utah should relax it's liquor laws in order to lure more tourism dollars to the state. A few things that head the list are Membership requirements, Zion curtain, and bar tenders not serving drinks over the bar. The opposition to any type of change was there in full force of course. Citizens for Families, the Coalition for Ethics and Accountability in Government, Mothers Against Drunk Driving and United Women's Forum were yelling the age-old battle cry, "what about the children?" My editorial answer; it's already illegal for them to drink!
